DOLPHIN TALE
David Yates has a long history in TV and film, including his years as an Executive Producer on the Ironman Triathlon NBC Sports TV show where he garnered three Emmy Awards and three International Monitor Awards. The Dolphin Tale movie idea was born in 2007 when Yates began to tell Winter’s overcoming story to the global media and the world could not get enough of this little dolphin’s overcoming story. This led to conversations with Alcon Entertainment, a major independent film studio, and after three years of work, Dolphin Tale became a reality in 2011, with Dolphin Tale 2 released three years later. Both movies featured Morgan Freeman, Harry Connick Jr., Ashley Judd, Kris Kristofferson, Nathan Gamble, Cozi Zuehlsdorff, Austin Highsmith and Austin Stowell. Yates Co-Produced/Executive Produced Dolphin Tale and Dolphin Tale 2, as the films went on to critical and moviegoer success, and continue to this day to inspire millions of sick, injured and disabled children who connect to Winter’s simple but profound overcoming story. Read Yates’ book ____________ for the complete amazing story of the journey to two major motion pictures, and the resulting impact on the Clearwater, Florida area and the lives of countless kids who needed Winter’s story to guide them through a major life challenge.
